Gore is the biggest and most northerly mountain on our schedule, in North Creek at the edge of the Adirondacks. It is roughly four hours from New York City, which makes it the one venue almost everyone stays over for — and that turns the weekend into the most social race of the season, with a Saturday night banquet in Warrensburg. We race Echo. Book lodging early; North Creek is a small town and rooms near the mountain go quickly.

Racing at Gore: Common Questions
Which trail do we race?
Echo. The trail map above marks the NYSEF building, which is a useful landmark for finding race headquarters.
Do I need a lift ticket?
Only if you do not hold a NY Ski3 pass, which covers Gore along with Belleayre and Whiteface. Tickets for racers without one are available at check-in.
Where do I warm up, and how long is the lift ride?
Where should I stay?
North Creek is closest at about ten minutes but small, so book early. Warrensburg is around thirty minutes away, and Lake George is about thirty-five minutes with more availability and lower rates.
Where do I find the start list and race schedule?
Start lists are posted on the Race Day Communications WhatsApp group, along with weather calls and any schedule changes. Timing and order of events are in the race information sheet. Second run (GS/SL) is reverse order within age class.
