About Mid-Atlantic Masters

Mid-Atlantic Masters Skiing, Inc., is a non-profit corporation that administers the Foy Cup Series.  We offer a season-long schedule of races and awards to the overall and class winners for men and women, and teams.  Mid-Atlantic Master's originated from the ASRA ski race organization, which was formed by John (A.J.) Foy.  With John’s retirement after 37 years, we reformed the ASRA into a non-profit organization with the mission of promoting amateur alpine ski racing within a fun, social atmosphere.  Our motto is “Ski Fast and Have a Blast!”

We are a US Ski & Snowboard affiliated organization, governed by US Ski & Snowboard - the sanctioning body for organized ski racing in the United States.  We are are part of the Eastern Region which also includes New England Masters (NEMs), NY Masters (primarily Western NY) and Southern (SARA).  We conduct most of our races as US Ski & Snowboard sanctioned races, and work closely as part of a Masters National Committee to influence rules, policies and to help grow the sport of Masters ski racing nationally.  Check out the complete set of groups and divisions that are part of the US Ski & Snowboard Masters Organization.  You are welcome to ski with any of them should your trip take you there.

Mid-Atlantic (MA) Masters hosts races from December through March in New York, Vermont, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.  We hold GS, SL, and SG races.  Points are awarded by finish position in each age category, and season champions are recognized at the MA Masters Championships in March.  Teams are also scored at each race and for the overall team championship.

We welcome racers of all skill levels and racing experiences. Whether you are new to racing or have been racing for years, we encourage you to join us on the hill! Many of our racers are former junior or college racers, racing parents, NASTAR racers, or are skiers entirely new to racing but with a desire to learn. We welcome participants from other regions and divisions to join us as well as entire family participation. Above all, our primary goal is to have fun and enjoy ski racing at the same time!

We hope to see you out on the hill this season!
