More Friends = More Fun = More Funds to Spare (or Share 😎)
New for the 2025-2026 season, we're introducing the Race with a Friend Referral Program to incentivize current Mid-Atlantic Masters racers to bring one or more friends to our races. Ski racing is more fun with more friends!
| Host Racer Benefits | Friend Benefits |
|
For up to three races where an existing Mid-Atlantic racer brings one or more new racers to join us, the host racer will receive a discount of $36 on the race fee. |
If the friend of the Mid-Atlantic racer did not hold a US Ski & Snowboard membership in the last year, we will provide the friend with a complimentary short term license for the race. This is a savings of $36! If the friend of the Mid-Atlantic racer does not qualify for a US Ski & Snowboard complimentary short term membership but has never raced with Mid-Atlantic Masters, we will provide the friend with a discount of $36 on the race fee. |
If your friend is between ages 18-34, also encourage them to join the new Next Gen Masters Kick Start Program! As the host racer, you will still receive a discount for the first race that your friend attends, even if they join the Next Gen Masters Kick Start Program.
How it Works
- Before the race registration deadline, the existing Mid-Atlantic racer should email us at [email protected] with the name of the friend(s) who the host racer is bringing to the race.
- Mid-Atlantic leadership will provide the friend with a complimentary short-term USSS license (if the friend is eligible). If the friend is not eligible for a complimentary license, they will receive a $36 discount on the race fee when the race is billed (note that the friend will need to purchase a short-term USSS license prior to the race).
- The host Mid-Atlantic racer will receive a $36 discount on his or her race fee when the race is billed.
Detailed Program Rules
- The Mid-Atlantic host racer must email [email protected] with the name of the friend(s) at or before the race registration deadline. Host racers who submit friend names after a race are not eligible to receive the $36 race fee discount.
- The friend brought by a Mid-Atlantic host racer should not have raced with Mid-Atlantic Masters in the past 5 years. This includes regional and national events hosted by Mid-Atlantic Masters.
- For a given race, regardless of the number of friends brought by a single Mid-Atlantic host racer, that host racer will only receive one $36 discount on the race fee.
- The Mid-Atlantic host racer will only receive the $36 race fee discount if their friend attends a race. If the friend is a DNS, the Mid-Atlantic host racer will not receive the $36 race fee discount.
- Race with a Friend Program benefits only apply to races hosted by Mid-Atlantic Masters. We encourage you to attend races hosted by our sister race series (e.g. New York Masters, New England Masters, etc), but we are unable to extend Race with a Friend Program benefits for races that are not hosted by Mid-Atlantic Masters. Sometimes we jointly-score races that are hosted by other race series; however, since Mid-Atlantic Masters does not host those races, any jointly-scored races on our seasonal schedule are not eligible for Race with a Friend benefits.
- The Race with a Friend Program cannot be combined with any other Mid-Atlantic racer incentive programs to "stack" discounts. For example, if the host racer is a participant in the Next Gen Masters Kick Start Program, and brings a friend to one of the first four discounted races that are part of the Next Gen Program, the host racer will only receive one $36 discount, not two $36 discounts (one from the Next Gen Program and one from Race with a Friend). However, if the friend is between 18-34, encourage the friend to also join the Next Gen Program!
