Big SNOW at American Dream in East Rutherford is an indoor slope minutes from Manhattan, open year round regardless of the weather. For us it means preseason gate time in September and October, months before any outdoor hill in the region has snow — a chance to shake off the summer, test new skis and remind your legs what a race course feels like. It is also the easiest possible introduction to ski racing for anyone in the New York metro area: no drive, no lodging, no waiting for winter. TBD: describe what our event here actually involves.
Last updated: TBD.

Racing at Big SNOW: Common Questions
What do we run at Big SNOW?
TBD — gate training, a clinic, or a timed race? Include session length and how many runs to expect.
What does it cost, and do I need a license or membership?
TBD — answer plainly. If newcomers can simply show up without a U.S. Ski & Snowboard license or Mid-Atlantic membership, this is the most valuable sentence on the page.
What gear do I need?
TBD — own skis or rentals, helmet requirement, and what to wear given the indoor temperature. Indoor snow is firm, so a sharp edge matters; see our ski tuning guide.
How do I get there and where do I park?
TBD — American Dream is a large complex and first-timers routinely struggle to find the right entrance and parking deck. Spelling this out will save people a stressful twenty minutes. Include transit directions if racers use them.
How do I sign up?
TBD — registration route and deadline.
Is this a good place to try ski racing for the first time?
TBD — if yes, say so directly. Someone in the New York metro area searching in October can be on snow within the week, which no other venue on our schedule can offer.
